About Tigers Football Academy
Fun, friendship and sportsmanship - since 2020 in Surabaya.
Tigers Football Academy, in action
Our Mission
Founded in 2020 at Surabaya European School (SES), Tigers Football Academy has grown from serving primarily SES students to a vibrant community initiative that now supports over 150 children across all age groups.
Our mission is to foster community spirit, promote healthy activity, and develop young talent through fun, discipline, and dedication to the sport of football.
Today we support several local schools by enabling their students to take part free of charge, with TFA covering their transport, equipment and meals.
The History of Tigers Football Academy
Since being founded by staff at SES, including Matthew Green, former coach of the Bahamas and Turks and Caicos Islands national teams, TFA has grown from playing friendly matches to competing in national-level leagues and competitions.
The determined efforts of our players have produced a strong start in the Hydroplus league.
Our Role in the Community
At TFA, we put fun, friendship and sportsmanship ahead of results.
Our focus is on developing players holistically: technical skills, tactical understanding, physical fitness and mental toughness.
Beyond player development, TFA actively creates employment opportunities by training local coaches and officials, and provides pathways into sports education.
We are committed to inclusivity, welcoming children of all abilities and never turning anyone away.
