TRIBUNJATIM.COM, SURABAYA - The Tigers Football Academy (TFA) girls' teams are showing ever greater physical and mental readiness ahead of the return of the national Hydroplus Soccer League, organised by the Djarum Foundation.
Last weekend TFA held a three-day intensive training camp for 70 players from across its girls' programme. More than a set of sessions, the camp was a moment to build focus, togetherness and a winning mentality, in line with the club's ambition to see its U15 and U18 teams achieve the best possible results this season.
With a balance of enjoyable activities and serious tactical preparation, TFA once again underlined its commitment to a training environment that is competitive and fun for the players.
Performance on the Pitch
The programme is also part of the academy's long-term vision of preparing the teams for next season, including steps towards forming a professional women's team for the national women's league in 2027.
On the pitch, TFA's season speaks for itself. The U18 team is dominant and unbeaten at the top of the table, and has already secured a place in the national finals.
The U15 team, although younger, is competing at the top level too, sitting second and five points clear of nearest rivals Bulog Jatim Putri.
The players' enthusiasm is obvious. Rara, the U18 top scorer, said: “I can't wait to play again and secure the Surabaya division title for our team.”
Kinanthi of the U15 team agreed: “We are ready to prove that we deserve our place in the finals and to show how far we have come.”
Appreciation from Management and the Academy
Behind that performance, Team Manager Masytha praised the players' dedication during the camp: “I am very satisfied with the players' effort. Team spirit is excellent, and they showed a positive attitude, strong focus and real commitment.”
Beyond results, TFA continues to play an active role in developing women's football and opening up future opportunities for young athletes.
Through education support, career opportunities and access to international pathways, including connections to the United States for scholarships, TFA is building a broader foundation for its players.
With the next matches starting on 11 April, both teams are now preparing to continue their positive run and go further this season.
TFA also thanks all of its players, parents, coaches, sponsors and partners, including Hydroplus and the Djarum Foundation, for the continued support that makes this journey possible.
