Where: Via Zoom, with the teacher providing the link.
Levels: A Years 10-12 class and an Adults class.
Content: The aim of these classes is for students to be able to develop their daily conversation skills to be used within an Indonesian context. As such the topics will cover everyday experiences that will be of benefit to individuals when travelling in Indonesia. These classes are not being offered with the VCE curriculum in mind but may contribute towards building confidence and fluency when conversing in Indonesian.
There is no textbook required but vocabulary lists may be provided. It is assumed that students either have or are currently being taught the necessary grammar in another program.
Teachers: Each class will have a native Indonesian speaker as their teacher. Bahasa Baku (Formal Indonesian) will be used in all classes, with the Adult class learning some extra Bahasa Sehari-hari (Everyday Indonesian) along the way as opportunity arises.
All class instruction will be given in Indonesian.
Class Size: Each class will have a minimum of 4 students and a maximum of 8.
