This page explains how Anggota works, what you can expect from us, and what we need from you in return. Anggota is run by CV San Siro Media Denpasar of Jalan Sedap Malam No 111A, Kesiman, Bali 80237, Indonesia. Where this page says "we" or "us", that is who it means.

These are the terms you are agreeing to when you open an account, so they do carry legal weight. We have tried to write them as guidance rather than as a wall of clauses, because you are far more likely to follow rules you can actually read. If you are setting up an account for a club, an association or any other organisation, we are assuming you have the authority to agree to this on its behalf.

What Anggota does

Anggota is software for organisations that have members. It keeps your member list, handles levels and dues, sends renewals, runs your events, collects payments, and gives you a website and a portal your members can log in to. We keep building on it, so features change over time - some get better, some get replaced, and occasionally something we thought was useful turns out not to be and goes away.

Looking after your account

Your account is the front door to your organisation's records, so a few things sit with you rather than with us.

Keep your details accurate - we use the email address on file to reach you about renewals, security and anything that changes, and a stale address means those messages go nowhere. Keep your password to yourself and use one you do not use elsewhere. If you ever think somebody has got into your account who should not have, email [email protected] and tell us straight away; we would much rather hear about it early.

When you invite other administrators, you are handing them real access to your members' data, so invite people you trust and remove them when they step down. Anything they do in your account counts as your organisation's doing. And in the ordinary legal sense, you need to be old enough and able to enter into an agreement - if you are setting this up for an organisation, that it is your organisation's to set up.

Who owns the data

Your data stays yours. Your member list, your content, your logos - none of it becomes ours because it happens to be stored here. What you give us is permission to hold it and work with it to the extent we need to in order to run the service for you.

There is an important distinction underneath that. For the records you keep about your members, your organisation is the one in charge of that data and we act on your instructions. In practice this means the decisions are yours: whether you have a proper basis to collect what you collect, telling your members what you do with it, and answering them when they ask about it. We will help you with any of that, and if a member comes to us directly we will point them to you and assist. Our privacy notice sets out how we handle personal data on our side.

Using Anggota fairly

Most of this is what you would expect, and we mention it mainly so nobody is surprised later. Do not use Anggota to break the law, to send spam, or to send messages that are deceptive or abusive. Do not upload data you have no right to hold, or content that is unlawful or belongs to somebody else.

On the technical side: please do not go looking for ways into other customers' data or our systems, do not scan or overload the service, and do not work around the limits on your plan rather than moving to one that fits. Reselling Anggota under someone else's brand is something we are open to discussing, but it needs to be agreed in writing first. And the software itself is not yours to copy or take apart, beyond what the law specifically permits.

What you pay, and when

Paid plans are billed in advance for whatever period you chose when you subscribed. Prices are on our website, and if we change them we will tell you well before the change reaches you. Free trials run for the period stated when you sign up, and you can walk away before the end without paying anything.

Prices do not include tax unless we say so, and any tax that applies to your situation is yours to handle. If a payment fails we will tell you and give you a fair chance to sort it out before anything is suspended - we are not looking to catch anyone out. Fees you have already paid are not usually refundable, and if you cancel, your plan simply runs to the end of the period you have paid for rather than stopping mid-way. Where the law gives you a stronger right than that, the law wins.

Money you collect from your members

When you use Anggota to take dues, event fees or donations, the money moves through a payment provider, not through us. That relationship is between you and them, on their terms, and things like settlement timing, their fees and their dispute process are theirs to determine. We are not part of the transaction between you and your member, which also means refunds and chargebacks are handled between you, your member and the provider.

Keeping the service running

We work hard to keep Anggota up, and we take that seriously - organisations depend on it at renewal time. What we cannot honestly promise is that it will never be interrupted or never have a bug, because no software service can. We do take it down for maintenance sometimes, and we will give notice for anything planned. Support is by email at [email protected], from people who actually use the product.

Our software, your content

The Anggota software, the name and the site are ours, and using the service does not transfer any of that to you. The mirror of that is just as firm: everything you bring - your content, your branding, your members' records - stays entirely yours.

Stopping, and being stopped

You can close your account whenever you like; you do not need a reason and you do not need our permission.

From our side, we can suspend or end access if these terms are seriously broken, if payment stays unresolved, or if the law requires it. Except where something is serious enough that we cannot wait, we will tell you what the problem is and give you a chance to fix it before doing anything.

Either way, your data does not vanish the moment an account closes. For a reasonable period afterwards you can ask us for an export, and we will get it to you. After that we delete or anonymise it, except where we are legally required to keep something.

Where responsibility sits

Some responsibility cannot be signed away under Indonesian law - fraud, and death or injury caused by negligence - and nothing here attempts to.

Beyond that, the service comes as it is. As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect or knock-on losses, lost profit or revenue, or data lost or corrupted through something outside our reasonable control. If we are liable for something, our total liability over any twelve-month period is capped at what you paid us during it.

One practical note that sits alongside this: your records are your records. Export them from time to time. It costs you a minute and it means an outage or a mistake is an inconvenience rather than a disaster.

If your use of Anggota causes a problem for us

If we end up facing a claim because of how you used the service - a breach of these terms, misuse, or handling your members' data in a way the law does not allow - we will look to you to cover the resulting claims, losses and reasonable costs. This is the standard position and it is not one we expect to ever use, but it needs saying plainly.

When this page changes

We will update this page as the service grows and as the law moves. The current version always lives here with its date at the top. If a change materially affects you, we will give you reasonable notice rather than quietly editing the page, and continuing to use Anggota after a change takes effect means you are happy with it.

Which law applies

Indonesian law governs this agreement, and the courts of Denpasar, Bali have jurisdiction unless the law says otherwise. In practice we would far rather sort out a problem by talking about it, so please write to us before it gets that far.
